Toyota and Lexus vehicles named Top Picks for 2010 by CanadianDriver.com
Ottawa, Ontario - CanadianDriver.com, a leading Canadian online automotive magazine since 1999, announced its first annual Top Picks awards. The 2010 Toyota RAV4 and 2010 Lexus RX 450h were selected as part of CanadianDriver.com's top 20 new vehicles in the Canadian marketplace.
The 20 vehicles were chosen by the publication's panel of senior writers and editors who have a combined 60 years of test-driving experience.
"These are the vehicles we would recommend if you came to us asking which car you should buy - which coincidentally, many of you do," says Editor-in-chief, Greg Wilson. "The winning vehicles are chosen from a broad range of vehicle classes, and unlike many awards, we consider every new vehicle sold in the Canadian market, not just the all-new models or redesigned ones."
"We thank CanadianDriver.com for recognizing the 2010 Toyota RAV4 and Lexus RX 450h as top vehicle choices for 2010," said Stephen Beatty, Managing Director at Toyota Canada Inc. "These accolades will no doubt be an important factor for Canadians as they shop for new vehicles this year, and consumers can be confident that the made-in-Canada RAV4 and AJAC award-winning RX 450h are excellent choices."
CanadianDriver's judges take into account such factors as styling, comfort, functionality, quality, performance, fuel economy, safety features, reliability, and value for money; and class-specific advantages such as cargo capacity, payload, towing, utility, and ground clearance.
"When all is said and done, these are the vehicles we really like and wouldn't be afraid to recommend to anyone who asks," says Wilson.
